Five Islands Family Beach Exploration
Overview
Explore Five Islands Provincial Park in the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark on a guided beach hike, customized to your family’s ages, interests, and abilities. Hear insights about Bay of Fundy flora and fauna, tides, and geology as you make your way to the “Old Wife” rock formation or kick off your shoes for a fun sensory experience and squish the red Minas Basin mud between your toes!
Duration & distance: up to 3 hours, 4 km (return) to reach the “Old Wife” geological feature in Five Islands Provincial Park
Dates: Available daily, early June through Thanksgiving weekend. Must be booked in advance. Subject to availability.
Cost: $180 for 1- 4 participants. Add additional participants for +$40 per person, up to a maximum of 6 participants.

Good to Know:
- Your guide, Anna, is accredited and well-versed in the Bay of Fundy tides and unique features at Five Islands Provincial Park. Exact tour start times will be confirmed once your tour is booked, as it is based on daily fluctuating tide times.
- Meeting point: Five Islands Provincial Park (618 Bentley Branch Road) day use parking lot. Please arrive at the meeting location at least 15 minutes prior to your tour start time.
- What to wear and bring: A hat, hiking boots or, at a minimum, runners with sturdy tread are a must. Dress in layers to keep the wind/sun out. The weather can be unpredictable. Clean towels and running water for washing up after the muddy fun experience are available.
Conditions & Cancellations: Advance booking is required; tour times depend on the tides and are different every day. All tours require a minimum of 1 person, max 6. Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance of scheduled tours. If your tour is cancelled due to poor weather conditions, there will be no charge and we will try to rebook your tour.
