A rewarding adventure, not for the faint of heart! Meet fellow travellers at the trailhead in Sambro Creek over a light breakfast snack. Then, get hiking on the coastal trail for a day of oceanside exploration, food, and fun. Take in the sights and sounds of nature while experiencing Canada’s Ocean Playground – scamper rocks, spot tide pool creatures & local wildlife, and relax in the sand! Enjoy beautiful coastal views during a seaside picnic of fresh locally grown and produced food. Celebrate a hike well done by trading in your hiking boots for sandals – kick back and relax on white sand beaches!

Moderate – Difficult

Challenge Level Explanation:

  • Terrain consists of walking on large sections of granite, loose rocks, roots, mud, unlevelled ground, hills, bogs, sand, boardwalk, stairs, etc.
  • There may be wet sections on the trail depending on terrain type and/or recent weather conditions
  • There are bathrooms (outhouses) available at the start/end of the trail, however there are no bathrooms available during the hike
  • The hike route passes a clothing optional beach
  • Distance is approximately 11km of hiking
