Relax on a tranquil 2-night stay at Shangri-La Cottages, surrounded by the Bay of Fundy’s beauty and serene ocean sounds. Create your own Nova Scotia or Maritime inspired seashell art piece guided by local artist, Andrea Weatherdon.

• Indulge in a 2-night luxury stay for 2 at Shangri-La Cottages, overlooking picturesque Burntcoat Head Park, home to the highest recorded tides in the world. 
• Relax under the stars in a private hot tub witnessing the mesmerizing ebb and flow of the tides. Then, wake up to the soothing sound of waves crashing against the rugged coastline.
• Unleash your creativity in a hands-on workshop led by local woodworker and artist Andrea Weatherdon, owner of Pine Knots and Pretty Things. Gather in the Sandstone cottage to craft your own art piece, inspired by one of Andrea’s most beloved pieces. With expert guidance, each guest will design a unique piece depicting the intricate beauty of Nova Scotia’s 13,000+ kilometer long coastline or the Maritime’s favorite crustation, the Atlantic Lobster! Pre-nailed, stained and sealed wood will be provided. Pick out and arrange your favourite seashells to customize and finish your beautiful string art design.

Price: Starting at $680.00 + HST for 2 guests for 2 nights, in a 1-bedroom cottage or $710.00 + HST for 2 guests for 2 nights in a 2-bedroom cottage.

Want to add additional friends or family to this experience? Add $95 + HST per person for a maximum 4 guests in High Tide (Cottage #1), maximum of 4 guests in Low Tide (Cottage #2), or a maximum of 6 guests in Lighthouse Keeper (Cottage #3) and Mud Piddock (Cottage #4).

How to Book: 

1. Visiting the booking page: enter in the date of one of the weekends above. Select the cottage you would like to book, enter the number of guests/pets, and click “Continue”. 
2. Click on “Add On: “Crafted Coastal Retreat”. Fill out your contact information, read and agree to our Policies, let us know what design you would like to complete, either the Nova Scotia design or the Lobster design, in the “Information we should know:” section and click “Continue”.
3. Pay deposit: On the last page, you will need to pay a 25% deposit to guarantee your reservation. Once payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email.

Good to Know:

• This package is only offered in High Tide (Cottage #1), Low Tide (Cottage #2), Lighthouse Keeper (Cottage #3) & Mud Piddock (Cottage #4) as they are the cottages with private hot tubs.
• Package timing: Your hands-on workshop takes place at 1 pm on the Saturday of your stay, in the Sandstone cottage. 
• Check-in is between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm; if you require a late check-in, you must notify Shangri-La Cottages in writing at the time of booking. Check-out is at 11:00 am.
