Country Ranch Escape

Escape to the Northumberland Shore and get away from it all at Wallace River Ranch. Savour a delicious dinner at the nearby Wiley’s by the Wharf restaurant before returning to your dome and relaxing in your private hot tub.

During your stay enjoy exploring the ranch on our 36-acre property and visiting our friendly farm animals – goats and ponies. As one of only three domes currently on the premises, you’ll have the ranch practically to yourself. On clear evenings, gaze up at the starry sky and appreciate the tranquility of being surrounded by nature, trees, and wildlife.

Package includes:

• One night stay, in a dome with your own private hot tub, picnic table and BBQ. Our check-in time is 4:00pm and our check-out time is 11:30am. Max capacity per dome is four guests (there is additional cost per guest). Our domes feature one king and two twin beds in a mezzanine, a woodstove – all firewood is provided.
• Welcome basket includes hand painted coasters by Carol Pounder, Soap from Pugwash Soap Company, maple syrup from Sugar Moon Farm, and a Wallace River Ranch mug.
• $50 dining credit per person at Wiley’s by the Wharf restaurant, a 10 minute drive away with views of Wallace Harbour.

Seasonal price: Starting at $374 plus taxes based on double occupancy for one night for two.

What should I bring? Groceries! As part of this package you receive a dining credit to Wiley’s by the Wharf, however, we highly recommend bringing groceries with you for other meals. We do have fully equipped kitchens in our domes.

For the colder months of the year bring:

• Weather appropriate clothing
• Slippers or warm socks for inside use

If you have a kayak, paddle board, ATV, snowmobile… bring it along. Wallace River is great for paddle boarding and kayaking. We are also just of the Trans Canada Trail, which is great for ATVs, snowmobiles and hiking.

Where are we located and what is nearby? We are just 20 minutes away from Ski Wentworth! You may also take your snowshoes or snowmobile and get on the trail, our domes are just off the Trans Canada Trail. Located just outside Wallace Nova Scotia, in Kerr’s Mill. You can find so many hidden gems here in the area. Visit Blue Sea Beach, just a 15-minute drive from us, where the water can reach 22 C in the summer! Tatamagouche is a 20-minute drive, with restaurants; a farmers market every Saturday, and Tatabrew. Pugwash, a short 15-minute drive in the Sunrise Trail, is also offering a farmers market every Saturday.

Is it warm enough in the winter? Yes! We have wood-burning fireplaces in our domes, a heat pump, and electric heater in the bathroom. Bringing something warm to wear during those chilly winter nights, is a good idea. Please note, we will be closed in February.

Cancellation Policy: At the time of booking, we will process 20% of your stay. You may cancel or change your reservation up until 14 days before your arrival date without a fee. Cancellations within 14 days, will result in your deposit being non-refundable. Cancellations within 7 days will result in the entire stay not being refundable. On or after the day of your arrival, any date changes or cancellations to the number of room nights for all or part of your stay will result in the processing of the full value of your stay that you originally reserved. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for unexpected cancellations.
