Experience the Bay of Fundy like never before on a two-hour guided tour by Zodiac, in the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark, then fall asleep to the sounds of waves from your cozy wooden tent on the beach.

See Cape d’Or’s landmark lighthouse and towering 300-foot cliffs as you travel along the upper Bay of Fundy coastline to the quaint fishing port Advocate Harbour. Search for the ancient air shafts and mine adits of Horseshoe Cove along the way and on route back to your campsite, enjoy a full tour of Spencer’s Island from the water, a significant Geopark geosite.

If the tides align, you’ll see the famous “Dory Rips” off the coast of Cape d’Or!

Package Highlights:

  • Enjoy a thrilling two-hour guided boat tour to Advocate Harbour departing from Spencers Island by Zodiac.
  • Hear insights about what it’s like working as a lobster fisherman in the Bay of Fundy from your knowledgeable local guide.
  • Learn about the geological significance of Spencer’s Island and Cape d’Or from the water, two Geosites in the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark.
  • Fall asleep to the sounds of waves from a cozy, rustic wooden tent on the beach. Tents are 8′ x 12′ and 8′ high with a back screened in window and a zipper door. Two twin mattresses are provided, hot/cold shower and flush toilet available for guests on-site. Please bring your own bedding and other necessary comforts.

Price: $360 per two adults + HST. Includes boat tour and one-night’s accommodations in wooden tent for two adults.
** $150 + HST per each additional adult for boat tour component only. Add additional nights to your stay in Local Guy Adventures wooden tents for $60 + HST per night.

Dates: Available daily, May 1 through October 31, 2025. Subject to availability and weather dependent. Tour start times vary with tide times

Good to Know:

  • A minimum of 4 participants are required per boat tour. Each tour can accommodate up to 8 participants.
  • Use of a cold-water survival suit while on the boat is required. Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your tour departure time to be fitted.
  • Please note that times are approximate as the tour may take slightly longer or shorter depending on wind direction, tides, and stops along the way for photos.
  • Tours depend on suitable weather conditions and cannot operate in extreme wind or rain conditions. You will be notified 24-hours in advance of your tour date if conditions are not favourable and a full-refund or opportunity to book on the next available tour will be provided.
  • Bring a change of clothes and plan for warm and cooler temperatures including pants, shorts, t-shirt, sweater, change of footwear, sunscreen, sunhat, water bottle and preferred snacks.
  • Gratuities are not expected, but they are appreciated.

Conditions & Cancellations: Advance booking is required; tour times depend on the tides and are different everyday however at time of booking you will be able to select a specific time slot to help you plan your visit. All visitors must sign a waiver. All tours require a minimum of 4 persons, max 8. Cancellation must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled tour date. We do not accept cancellations after 48 hours unless you can fill the spaces with other participants. If Local Guy Adventures cancels the tour due to poor conditions you will receive a full refund or opportunity to be rebooked on the next available tour.
