Hop aboard Bay of Fundy Scenic Lobster Boat Tour’s lobster fishing boat The Second Secret for a unique excursion on the water. Learn about lobster, the Bay of Fundy lobster fishing industry in Nova Scotia, and see local attractions from the water including the famous Balancing Rock.
Meet us at Tiverton Port for this 2.5 hour boat tour on the Bay of Fundy! On your way enjoy a ferry ride from East Ferry, Digby Neck to Tiverton Port, Long Island. Advance booking is required.
Tour includes:
- Hauling lobster traps: Stopping in Whale Cove Harbour, your guide and working lobster fisherwoman will haul up lobster traps and demonstrate how it’s done!
- Learn about the lobster’s life cycle: Your guide will talk about lifecycle of the lobster and how understanding this is incorporated in sustainable fishing practices.
- See local attraction from the water: The tour passes by many scenic attractions such as the famous Balancing Rock, Seal Point, Boar’s Head Lighthouse and Whale Cove Harbour.
Possible sea life encounters:
- Large groups of Jellyfish
- Curious Sunfish (especially in August)
- Porpoises
- Seals sunbathing on rocks, seabirds and eagles
Tour Length: 2.5 hours
Tour availability: Daily, June 15- September 15, 2023. Three tour times daily at: 9:30am, 1:00pm and 4:30pm.

The vessel and crew:
- The Second Secret is 43ft by 15ft lobster fishing vessel with a bathroom available on board.
- The vessel is Transport Canada certified for passenger safety and the captain and crew is Transport Canada certified/licensed
- Kyle Redden, Captain, lobster fishing full time for over 12 years with lots of sea-time experience along with being a fully licensed captain
- Tamara Frost: Tour Guide, 10 years experience being one of the very few women working full time in the lobster fishing industry
Cancellation policy: Tours are weather dependent, 24 hours notice given for cancellations. 24 hours notice required for cancellations. Min 5 adults required for a tour to go. For private tours, 48 hours notice required for cancellations.
Private tours: Have the boat all to yourself, or for your group, on one of our private tours. Also available to book online, the 2.5 hr private tour is $600 plus tax.
