Captain Jacob Winchester House is a 154-year-old quaint sea captain’s house situated in the tranquil country setting of Smith’s Cove in the Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley region. A delicious full breakfast is included and is served at the Harbourview Inn, a beautiful century-old inn, which is also located on this property. Guests are welcome to take a refreshing dip in our outdoor swimming pool or stroll along the sandy beach which is just a short walk down the road. Our central location is perfect for day trips – whale watching on the Bay of Fundy; golfing at Digby Pines; exploring Canada’s oldest European settlement at Annapolis Royal; and hiking, wilderness canoeing and bird watching at Kejimkujik National Park to name just a few!  

Our accommodations include 3 air-conditioned luxury suites (Queen) with a private or ensuite 4-piece bath (2 with an airjet tub), cable television, DVD player, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and free wireless Internet access. A full breakfast is included.

  • There is a $25 per night deposit required at the time of booking. The deposit is refundable, minus a $10 transaction fee with 1 week's notice prior to arrival date. 72 hour cancellation policy is in effect (prior to 3:00 pm). Guests who cancel within 72 hours of their arrival date (prior to 3:00 pm) are subject to the full room rate of their reservation. If the room can be re-rented with short notice, there will be no charge to the client. There are no refunds for early departures.
