Whitman Inn welcomes you to the heart of Nova Scotia where natural beauty and fresh air reign supreme. Our cozy country inn, circa 1900, is located in Kempt along the South Shore region of Nova Scotia and offers an active, fun-filled vacation close to nature but with all the comforts of home. Whether you enjoy canoeing, hiking, and biking or just relaxing with a good book under a shady tree, we know you’ll enjoy the peace of mind that only an unspoiled natural setting can bring.
The Whitman Inn is right next door to Kejimkujik National Park and Historic Site. This national treasure is a pristine wilderness environment in which you can canoe, hike, bike, picnic, draw and paint, take photographs, or just enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty that is all around. We pack picnic lunches for our guests.
Our accommodations include eight units with double or queen-sized beds, private 3-piece (shower) or 4-piece baths, as well as one 2-bedroom housekeeping unit and one romance room with Jacuzzi. Whether you enjoy the lounge room with a fireplace and pool table, or the spacious veranda and gardens, there is room enough for comfort, relaxation and enjoyment. We have a licensed dining room for our guests that is open for breakfast and by reservation for dinner. Guest amenities include a games room, television, movies, conference room, fireplace and library.
