A brief, two-minute drive along the picturesque Lighthouse Route takes you to the fishing village of Peggy’s Cove with its famous lighthouse. Stop for a lunch of fish and chips at the Sou’Wester Restaurant and pick up a keepsake from the gift shop. Thirty-five minutes away is the historic city of Halifax, so day trips to explore the Citadel National Historic Site, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, or the shops and boutiques along the waterfront are a fine option when planning you daily activities.
For the outdoors enthusiasts, we are located at the mouth of beautiful St. Margaret’s Bay, with plenty of water activities and scenery to take in while in our neighbourhood. Take a boat tour or whale watching cruise, or go deep-sea fishing. Golfing enthusiasts will want to take in the Indian Lake Golf Course, an 18-hole executive course in nearby Hatchet Lake.
