Tartan Inn The Google rating is 4.6

Northumberland Shore, Pictou

Overview

The Tartan Inn is a home away from home. With a lovely view of Pictou harbour from the front porches, the Tartan Inn is ideally situated just a short drive from the PEI Ferry Terminal, and within walking distance of the harbour, the ship Hector and several local restaurants, shops and museums, as well as access to the Jitney and Canada Trail. There are several public beaches in close driving distance. Halifax city centre is less than 2 hours away, and the causeway to Cape Breton Island is even closer.

The Tartan Inn was originally the Rectory of the St. James Anglican Church.  It was built in 1869 at 36 Denoon Street, beside the Church and accommodated the local Minister and Family until 2007 when it became a private residence.

The Tartan Inn offers two beautifully finished rooms, with all the comforts of home. The Ladybug Room is a bright, sunny south-facing 2nd floor room facing Pictou Harbour with a 4-piece ensuite. The Butterfly Room is a bright, peaceful, north-facing 2nd floor room with a private 3-piece ensuite. The Tartan Inn is open annually from May 1 to October 31.
