Renovated to include guest rooms with private baths and a separate guest house, the Sword & Anchor offers all the charm and intimacy of a country inn.
Chester Basin has a lot of offer as we are only a one-minute walk to numerous fine dining establishments and a five-minute drive to the Chester Golf Course, Oak Island, and the Chester Playhouse, which offers evening performances all summer, with intermittent shows in the spring and fall seasons. You can also take a drive along the South Shore, where many of Nova Scotia’s most scenic coastal vistas and historic attractions can be found, such as the picturesque Three Churches in Mahone Bay, and the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg.
Our accommodations include eight rooms with single or double beds, private 4-piece baths and a full, complementary breakfast served from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.. We also have a luxury oceanfront cottage with a queen bed, 4-piece bath with a whirlpool tub, cable television, fireplace, a spacious living area, a private deck and laundry facilities. Maximum of 4 people to the cottage, please.
