On the eastern shore of Lockeport Harbour, the Swim House is located in the coastal community of Rockland. 20 minutes from the nearest town of Lockeport, the Swim House is secluded but not isolated. Lockeport has 3 beautiful beaches: Crescent Beach, Freddy’s Beach and Col. Locke’s Beach as well as a number of restaurants and shops. The historic town of Shelburne, known for its museums, restaurants, theatre and harbour is about 30 minutes by car. Liverpool, Lunenburg, Chester and Mahone Bay and Yarmouth are all within easy day tripping distance.
Swim House is beautifully decorated and maintains its charm and character. Swim House has a beautiful, large, fully-equipped kitchen complete with dish washer. Cook supper on the charcoal BBQ and enjoy the unique barbecue flavour!
Originally built in 1865, the Swim House has retained its original charm and character without sacrificing modern comfort and convenience. Carefully restored, the Swim House features a large sunny well-equipped kitchen, an elegant dining room, a beautiful living room and utility room with laundry facilities. The elegance is in the details – calming paint colours, an antique harvest table in the dining room, thick towels and luxurious bed linens all add to the ambiance. The historic nature of this home has not interfered with the family friendly feeling. The large lawn and plenty of trees provide space for a game of football and some welcome shade in the summer. A wooden deck complete with charcoal BBQ and patio furniture makes a perfect spot to while away an afternoon.
The cottage sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom, a double in the second bedroom and two twin beds in the third bedroom. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a double bed in the second bedroom and two single beds in the third bedroom. There is one four-piece bathroom on the ground floor and a two-piece powder room upstairs.
All bed linens and towels are provided. The Swim House has internet access and cable TV. The cottage is pet friendly.
Safety:
For the protection of our guests we are leaving a full day between guests in order for our cleaning staff to completely clean and sanitize the space. Covid-19 cleaning, health and safety protocols are followed.
Minimum stay:
5 to 7 days during the summer months, 3 days during the shoulder season

Payment Options:
Deposit required at time of booking. Email Transfer is the preferred method of payment. Visa, MasterCard, or personal cheque in Canadian Dollars also accepted.
Cancellation Policy:
50% refund for cancellations made at least 60 days before check-in. 25% refund for cancellation made between 30 and 60 days prior to check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of check-in.
