The Stage Coach Inn is a beautifully restored Inn and farmhouse located in Barrington along the beautiful South Shore region of Nova Scotia. Built in 1803, the Inn was once used as a hotel and farm; stage coaches travelling with goods and passengers would stop at the Inn for a meal, an overnight stay, to change stagecoach drivers and to rest or change their horses at the livery stable across the road.

Today, you can expect a great stay and find great things to do in the area, including walking trails, harbour tours, kayaking and birding opportunities. The nearby town of Historic Shelburne has five museums, a wide variety of restaurants, daily harbour tours and more. You can rent kayaks on the harbour and even walk out to the Sandy Point Lighthouse at low tide. On nearby Cape Sable Island, you can enjoy a walk on “The Hawk”, one of Canada’s most impressive beaches or visit the Important Bird Area and sanctuary and see the famous Cape Island fishing boats.

The Stage Coach Inn offers four rooms and one elegant suite with Queen-sized beds, a 3-piece ensuite bathroom with tub (jet tub in suite) and television. A self-serve continental breakfast is included. We are centrally located, near beautiful beaches, golf, and within walking distance to museums.
