Lunenburg Academy National Historic Site
From May 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025
St. John’s Anglican Church is the second-oldest Protestant church in Canada, and boasts a vibrant intergenerational faith family. The community enjoys numerous world-class concerts and special events in this magnificent space throughout the year.
The building, reconstructed after a devastating fire in 2001, is an extraordinary example of Carpenter Gothic architecture. A National Historic Site, the church features an underground crypt, a repatriated “Vinegar Bible”(printed in 1717) and an Interpretive Centre.
