Nearby Taylor Head Park offers beautiful hiking trails and white sandy beaches where sights and sounds contribute to making this experience your perfect day on the Eastern Shore. Down the road you can find Coastal Adventures which offers sea kayaking and canoeing. Farther along the way, you can enjoy the story of Nova Scotia railways at the Musquodoboit Railway Museum. Examine the posters, tickets, maps and photographs in the Canadian Northern Railway station of 1918. A Visitor Information Centre occupies the waiting room. Nestled in the community of Jeddore-Oyster Ponds, Fisherman’s Life Museum preserves the legacy of the province’s inshore fishing heritage by sharing treasured stories form one family’s past. Sherbrooke Village depicts a typical Nova Scotia village from 1860 to pre-World War I. With approximately 80 buildings, over 25 of those open to the public, most with costumed interpreters. it is the largest Nova Scotia Museum site.
We offer 33 overnight sites, and 15 seasonal sites. 31 sites have water and electric hook-ups (no sewage hook-ups): 15/30/50 amps. 8 flush toilets, 4 non-flush toilets, and 6 showers. All sites have a fire pit and a picnic table. Two outhouses complement the flush toilets which are centrally located in the shower house near the swimming pool and playground. A Disposal Station is also available for guests’ convenience. Services offered on site include a laundromat, and a convenience store with homemade pizza. Many outdoor activities are available for all ages, such washer toss. On-leash pets are permitted. Debit/Cash accepted.
