The Rose & Thistle Bed & Breakfast is located on the Sunrise Trail in the Highland Heart of Nova Scotia, home of the Antigonish Highland Games, the longest-running games outside of Scotland. It is a modern, West-Coast style home built to take full advantage of the magnificent panoramic view surrounding Antigonish Harbour on the beautiful Northumberland Shore. Eight-foot windows offer a commanding view of Antigonish Harbour, Sugarloaf Mountain, and surrounding hillsides. Come and enjoy our beautiful gardens in our relaxed and peaceful surroundings. Only 50 kilometers from Cape Breton, where better to stop, rest and be refreshed to start you journey the following morning to the Cabot Trail.

Our four seasons are not to be missed; whether it is the snow-laden trees in winter, the joys of spring bursting forth, the warm glow of summer, or the fiery beauty of fall, every season enhances the beauty of our rolling hills, breath-taking vistas, beautiful beaches, and open farmlands that will entice you to stay a while and unwind.
Take a tour of Jost Vineyards, found along the picturesque Northumberland Strait, just off the Sunrise Trail. Play a round at the Antigonish Golf and Country Club, a public golf course which offers a Highland welcome to green fee players. Take in a show at the Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre, which will bring joy to the heart and food to the soul of every member of your family. Surround yourself with history while visiting the Antigonish Heritage Museum, striving to preserve and promote a cultural understanding of the heritage of Antigonish Town and Country.
Our accommodations include four ground-level rooms (queen-sized bed) with ensuite 3-piece bath (shower). Full breakfast of fresh, homemade and local ingredients is served between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Cable television, DVD player, CD player, games and books are available in the air conditioned guest lounge. Cancellation policy: Must cancel 24 hours prior to day of arrival if staying one to three nights; four nights or more, must cancel one week prior to day of arrival. (Must call if arrival is later than 6 p.m.)
