Riversong Bed & Breakfast is a charming Cape Cod home overlooking Wooden’s Cove and St. Margaret’s Bay on the famous Lighthouse Route along the South Shore of Nova Scotia. We provide a tranquil setting with access to sailing, sea kayaking, wilderness hiking, and trips to the nearby islands.
Our bed and breakfast is just a few minutes from Peggy’s Cove and its famous lighthouse, one of the most photographed in the world, and the Sou’Wester Restaurant and Gift Shop, where you can stop in for a bowl of seafood chowder. Farther along the route is picturesque Mahone Bay, with its Three Churches lining the harbour, charming shops and galleries, and living museums. The UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg houses the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic and serves as the home port of the Bluenose II. Travel to the Annapolis Valley and visit the Grand Pré National Historic Site, commemorating the settlement and subsequent deportation of the Acadians. For the adventurous, there is whale watching and sea kayaking in Terence Bay and West Dover. Bustling downtown Halifax, with its many historic sites, fine dining and theatre, is only 35 minutes away.
Our accommodations include one family suite (queen bed) with private 4-piece bath, and one room (queen bed) with private 4-piece bath, cable television and wireless Internet. Full breakfast is served at 8:15 a.m. Cable television and DVD player are available for guests in the siting room. There are beautiful views of the gardens from our gracious dining room, and a barbecue is available for use on the spacious deck. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
