A perfect escape!  Rivers End Cottage is a bright and cheerful cottage.  It’s a short walk along a wooded pathway to the beautiful Summerville Provincial Park Beach.  Spend your day exploring beautiful beaches, picturesque bays, and historic towns; take a sunset stroll along the Summerville Provincial Park beach; watch the moon rise over the ocean and marvel at the stars overhead. It’s a perfect cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful place to put your feet up and truly relax.

Situated at the top of a hill, Rivers End Cottage has a lovely view of the Broad River as it meets the Port Mouton Bay. Rivers End Cottage is far from being isolated. Liverpool is the closest town. It’s a colourful bustling centre with some unique boutique shops, restaurants; a couple of grocery stores, a theatre and a local craft brewery. There are so many beaches in the area. It is about a 5 minute dive (or 7 minute walk) to Summerville Beach Provincial Park – the nearest beach to Rivers End Cottage. It’s an 8 minute drive to Hunts Point Beach, while White Point Beach Resort is only 10 minutes away. To the west, Carters Beach is a 7 minute drive. About 35 minutes further along the South Shore are Shelburne and Lockeport. Shelburne is well known for its beautiful harbour, kayak tours, museums, and restaurants. Lockeport is well known for its amazing Crescent Beach. A definite “must do destination” for any beach lover. Lunenburg, Chester and Mahone Bay are about an hour away; and it’s a just about 2 hours’ to Halifax International Airport. The ferry terminal in Yarmouth is an hour and a half.

Comfortable and secluded Rivers End Cottage has the perfect set up for a family or couple to get away for a week in the summer. It has everything you need. The ground floor has an open concept living room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. As well as, a ground floor bedroom and a separate 4 piece bathroom that includes a washer and a dryer. The cottage is bright with light flooding in through large picture windows and the sliding patio door. There is a large two sided deck, patio furniture and propane BBQ. The deck really extends the living space. It’s the perfect spot to chill out in the evening 

Rivers End Cottage sleeps 5 in three bedrooms: one downstairs and two upstairs. The ground floor bedroom has a double bed and views of the garden. The master bedroom, upstairs, also has a double bed and views over the harbour. The second upstairs bedroom has a twin bed. There is 4-piece cottage bathroom on the ground floor and 2-piece powder room upstairs.  The cottage has a washer and dryer in the ground floor bathroom.

All bed linens and towels are provided. Rivers End Cottage has a television with a DVD player for watching movies, but no internet or satellite. The cottage is not pet friendly.

Safety:

For the protection of our guests we are leaving a full day between guests in order for our cleaning staff to completely clean and sanitize the space.  Covid-19 cleaning, health and safety protocols are followed.

Minimum stay:

5 to 7 days during the summer months, 3 days during the shoulder season

Payment Options:

Deposit required at time of booking.  Email Transfer is the preferred method of payment.  Visa, MasterCard, or personal cheque in Canadian Dollars also accepted.  

Cancellation Policy:

50% refund for cancellations made at least 60 days before check-in. 25% refund for cancellation made between 30 and 60 days prior to check-in.  No refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of check-in.
