Rise-Again Cottage is located on Second Peninsula, between Lunenburg and Mahone Bay, on the beautiful South Shore region of Nova Scotia. This cottage is a real Maritime home with brightly coloured, cheerful rooms and is just across the street from an ocean cove. It is a perfect place for couples and families to feel comfortably at home and is within driving or biking distance of local shops and restaurants, festivals and fairs and many outdoor activities.
Guests may wish to check out local events such as the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, the Lunenburg Folk Art Festival, Lunenburg Wooden Boat Festival, Mahone Bay Pirate Days or the Great Scarecrow and Antiques Festival. There are also many beautiful beaches, such as Bachman’s, Hirtles, Crescent and Risers, all with a short driving distance. Plenty of outdoor activities are also nearby, including golf, hiking (6.5 km trail to Gaff Point), kayaking and canoeing.
Our accommodations include a 3-bedroom oceanfront cottage (twin, double, and queen-sized beds; sleeps 6) with two 4-piece baths (one ensuite) and one 2-piece bath. The large kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and a cappuccino maker. The dining room has seating for 8 or more with table extensions. An open fireplace with a starter supply of wood and kindling is provided, as well as cable television, internet, books, CDs, DVDs and magazines. The ocean-front deck has a propane BBQ, dining table and six chairs – lovely for coffee and a glass of wine whenever you want to relax and watch the waves and the birds. The back entry has a small covered deck and leads to the laundry/mud room and 2-piece bath.
No smoking is permitted in or around the cottage.

Cancellation policy: A 30% deposit is required at time of booking and is non-refundable. Full balance of the rental fee is due 4 weeks prior to arrival. Should you need to cancel, 50% will be reimbursed if we are able to re-rent the property. It’s 100% non-refundable if we are unable to re-rent the property. The policy will be reviewed for emergencies.
