Overview

Small group guided hiking in Kings County, Nova Scotia.

Choose from one of the region’s picturesque trails. Sunset hikes on Thursdays and Fridays, daytime hikes Saturday and Sunday.

Hikes range from 1.5km to 14km.

Private hikes include:

Black Rock: One of the best community trails around! The Orange Trail is approximately 5km, and includes a variety of terrains – from a classic forest bed trail, to an old logging road, a ravine, and more. At the right time of the year, you’ll have a chance to snack on berries right from the bush!

This hike can take between 1-2 hours.

Blomidon: This hike within Blomidon Provincial Park will take you on the Woodland Trail to the Look Off Loop and back. This is approximately 7km and is mostly a forest hike, with views of the Minas Basin from the Look Off, itself. Afterwards, if you’re up for it, we make a quick stop at the lower parking lot for a quick walk to Borden Brook Falls.

This hike takes between 2-3 hours.

Cape Split: The quintessential Valley hike, Cape Split in Scots Bay is a 12.6km out and back trail with coastal views. This is a moderate difficulty trail, which is mostly due to its length and the number of hills. It’s well maintained, so it’s achievable by most levels of experience and fitness. The true reward is with the view of the split!

This hike can take between 3-5 hours.

Millennium Trail: If you’ve ever wanted to capture the breathtaking view of Cape Blomidon, this approximately 3.5km hike is perfect for you. Enjoy the hilly forest canopy that will take us to the look off. Once we make it to Reservoir Park, we’ll enjoy a nice flat loop before heading back down the Millennium Trail to the parking lot.

This hike takes between 1-2 hours.

Miners Marsh: The flattest trail, with a fantastic opportunity to spot a variety of birds and flora! This 5km hike will take you around Miners Marsh loop, before making our way to Eaves Hollow and back. This is a great beginner hike, which can be shortened to accommodate lower levels of fitness.

This hike takes between 1-1.5 hours.
