Ocean Vista Cottage is situated in the charming fishing village of Hunts Point in the South Shore region of Nova Scotia. Approximately halfway between Halifax and Yarmouth, Ocean Vista Cottage is nicely located along the Lighthouse Route. We are a family-friendly cottage with breathtaking ocean views from a wraparound deck. A two-minute stroll will take you to the white sand beach of Hunts Point, the picturesque fishing wharves or to explore the rocks along the ocean.
Adventures nearby include White Point Golf Club, a picturesque, nine-hole golf course surrounded by ocean views and beaches, deep sea fishing, horseback riding and delicious local seafood. A day trip will have you at gorgeous Mahone Bay and scenic Chester. Liverpool, with its Privateering history, museums, shops and restaurants is only 10 minutes away. The UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg and the world-famous lighthouse at Peggys Cove are not far. Explore the dory shop, shipyard and general store on Shelburne’s Historic Dock Street. Halifax is about an hour and a half up the coast. Summerville Beach Provincial Park, White Point Beach and the stunning Carters Beach are also close by.
Our accommodations include a rustic 4-bedroom cabin (King-sized bed, Queen-sized bed, Twin bed) in a quaint fishing village with 2 baths (3-piece with shower and ensuite 4-piece). The cottage is bright and sunny with an open-concept kitchen, living and dining room. At the heart of this rustic cabin is a large stone fireplace with a propane insert around which sit comfortable couches and a dining room table. A deck wraps around two sides of the cabin and extends the living area to the outside. Satellite television, VCR, washer, dryer and barbecue are available. Blueberry-picking is at your doorstep, and within walking distance to birdwatching, fishing and swimming. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
