Overview

The Millstone Bed & Breakfast is an historic residence, circa 1846, located on the banks of the beautiful Roseway River in Shelburne, on Nova Scotia’s picturesque South Shore. Our scenic river setting is the perfect place to relax: sit in comfortable lawn chairs reading or simply watch the river flow by.

Centrally located, we are and ideal location for day trips: canoeing, kayaking, fishing, golfing, and swimming are all nearby. Come in the fall and enjoy warm days, cool nights, vibrant leaves, fall festivals, and a multitude of migrating birds.

Whether you are tracing family history or just interested in this history-rich part of Nova Scotia, the Shelburne County Archives and Genealogical Society has a huge collection of records to help you in your quest. For those who prefer to take it easy, a leisurely stroll through the Historic Waterfront offers unique finds in galleries, antique shops, and gift stores. Highlights of the Historic Waterfront include the Barrel Factory, the Dory Shop (where one can see how dories are built from start to finish), Shelburne County Museum, and the Old Post Office.

Our accommodations include three rooms and one suite (queen-sized beds) with private 3-piece (shower) or 4-piece bath. All rooms include cable television, VCR and chiropractic beds.
