Mary Smith Bed & Breakfast is situated in Whycocomagh on beautiful Cape Breton Island offering a quiet setting overlooking the Bras d’Or Lakes. We are within walking distance to restaurants and lakes. Whycocomagh has all the local amenities necessary while on vacation including restaurants and gift shops yet still manages to retain a quiet village atmosphere. While staying with us, visit Whycocomagh Provincial Park which occupies a dramatic hillside overlooking the Skye River Valley and the Bras d’Or Lakes. The park offers a quiet scenic setting for picnicking and hiking trails which lead to five Salt Mountain look offs. We are 40 km (25 mi) to Baddeck where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants, unique gift shops, boat tours, Alexander Graham Bell Museum, and Bell Bay Golf Course. Lake Ainslie is nearby where you can begin your scenic drive along the legendary Cabot Trail and discover many historic communities and attractions along the way. We are a perfect location for the many day trips you can take exploring our beautiful Island. Our accommodation includes 1 guest room (Twin) with a 2-piece bath and a shared 4-piece bath, cable television, clock radio and handmade quilts. A living room with cable television is available to guests. A complimentary full breakfast is served between 7:00 am and 9:00 am. Storage for bicycles is provided. Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Pets are not permitted, as cats are on the premises.
