Overview

Nestled among 300 acres of lush forest, Lansdowne Outdoor Recreation Park (LORDA) is located in Lansdowne on the Northumberland Shore region of Nova Scotia. We pride ourselves on providing an exclusive haven for seniors and disabled persons.

Upon entering the expansive park grounds, one immediately experiences a sense of serenity and calm. This recreational widerness park has much to offer besides nature at its best – enjoy fishing, tenting as well as take advantage of the picnic tables, gazebos, and seating to enjoy a barbecue or a picnic for any size group.

The Northumberland Shore is a beautiful region, perfect for exploring. A short drive will take you to the town of New Glasgow, where you can take a stroll along the boardwalk, shop, dine, or enjoy one of the town’s summer festivals at Glasgow Square. The town of Pictou, known as the Birthplace of New Scotland, is also just a short drive away. Here you can enjoy restaurants and museums, the Hector Heritage Quay, and many beaches with some of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas.

Our campground features 60 unserviced overnight trailer and tenting sites. Guest amenities include flush toilets, water, and a disposal station. Our park is designed to be accessible for seniors and people of any age with disabilities and our property is rated as partially accessible with Access Advisor. Park activities include trout fishing, hiking, picnic sites, and games such as croquet and horseshoes.

We are a proud member of the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia and Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores (DEANS).
