Bell Bay Golf Club
Open seasonally (June, July, August, September, October)
Located in the village of Baddeck, the Green Highlander Lodge is an ideal place to stay and enjoy all that Cape Breton Island has to offer. The theme of the Green Highlander Lodge is fly fishing and we invite you to relax and enjoy our decor of log siding, hardwood floors, artwork, photography, a cozy fireplace, and great books for browsing. Each of the three suites is named for a classic salmon fly.
Your host at the Green Highlander, Bill Stephens, is a fully licensed fishing guide, specializing in fly fishing for trout and Atlantic salmon. Guided fishing trips on the beautiful Baddeck River, Middle River, North River or the world-famous Margaree River can be arranged.
Guests can easily walk to all of the gift shops and amenities in Baddeck from our convenient location. The local dock is across the street and from there you can take harbour cruises or visit our local beach. The Alexander Graham Bell Museum is a short five-minute walk away, and for the golfer, we are just a five-minute drive from Bell Bay Golf Club. Guests can dine on the premises or in a nearby restaurant.
Our accommodations include three unique suites with twin and queen beds, ensuite 3-piece baths with shower, a television, wireless Internet, private balcony and a shared sitting room. We also have a 1-bedroom waterside cottage, the Boat House, with a double bed and four bunk beds, 3-piece bath (shower), deck and small kitchenette. Our cottage provides guests with a
comfortable accommodation while on their Cape Breton vacation, where they can enjoy
gorgeous views from the private deck or take a dip in the Bras d’Or
Lake. A full breakfast is included with the rooms (not with the cottage).
We are a proud member of the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Debit are accepted.
