Grandma’s House Bed & Breakfast is situated in the peaceful setting of River Bourgeois, between Port Hawkesbury and St. Peter’s, on beautiful Cape Breton Island.
This charming Victorian-style home, built in the 1900s, is furnished with antiques and provides three comfortable guestrooms. Enjoy a full country breakfast each morning in our comfortable dining room which overlooks the River Bourgeois. Our blueberry pancakes and chanterelle mushroom omelettes are specialties! After breakfast, take a leisurely stroll along our nature trail or walk along the shore and explore the beautiful scenery and nature along the way.
River Bourgeois offers year-round outdoor activities, hunting in the fall; fishing in the spring and summer; bird watching and hiking any time of the year! Grandma’s House is a great place to make your home base while visiting the many sites and attractions on Cape Breton, such as the legendary Cabot Trail. We are just 10 minutes away from the Village of St. Peter’s where you will find restaurants and museums and we also are a short distance to Dundee Golf Club.
Our accommodations include 3 guestrooms (Single & Double, one room with a private patio overlooking the river), with a shared 4-piece bath. No cots are available. A full country breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Complimentary tea and coffee is available any time upon request. Pets are not permitted.
