There is a private pebble beach, great for beachcombing, a beach bonfire area, and access to wooded hiking trails along the rugged shoreline. Join us for a wonderful evening at a beach party and watch the night sky for falling stars.
A hike to the Balancing Rock on Long Island is a day trip worth exploring. In early spring and late summer, sea- and shorebird watching on Brier Island is among the best in eastern North America. Hike the many trails from bay to bay. The nearby village of Sandy Cove is a reminder of the raw beauty of the area, and whale watching from the islands brings visitors back time and time again. There are lighthouses that provide perfect photo opportunities, family picnics to plan, museums to visit, forts to investigate, golfing, geocaching, winery tours, canoe and kayak rentals, and for children Oaklawn Farm Zoo, all a short drive from Graham’s Pioneer Retreat.
Our accommodations include four oceanfront cottages (1- and 2-bedroom; double, queen and single beds) with 4-piece bath. Each unit has a large deck, propane barbecue and panoramic view of Digby Neck and the bay (to observe local fishing boats, seals, porpoise and various species of birds and shorebirds). The interior walls of locally-milled knotty pine are warm and inviting. Each cottage includes a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and propane fireplace. Everything is provided, included kitchen utensils, bedding, and a great selection of books and games. Stay in peace and quiet, without the distraction of a television or phone. Pets are permitted with prior knowledge. Visa, MasterCard and debit are accepted.
Cancellation Policy: Must cancel 30 days prior to day of arrival (for refund of deposit or to avoid a credit card charge). There is a 15% cancellation fee.
