Forest Haven Inn is a 100-acre year-round retreat located in Balfron, just south of Tatamagouche in the Northumberland Shore region. Overlooking the Waugh River Valley and Cobequid Mountains, there are many activities you can enjoy on our property and in the area, including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, cycling, and hiking.
While staying with us, experience the many activities and attractions the Northumberland Shore has to offer. Jost Vineyards in Malagash welcomes visitors year-round to its winery, store and vineyards, offering complimentary tastings. Spend the day at Rushtons Beach Provincial Park or enjoy a round of golf at one of the many golf courses in the region. We’re also an easy driving distance to skiing at Wentworth.
Our accommodations include four rooms with a balcony. Each room comes with a Queen- or 2 twin-sized bed(s), a private 3-piece (Shower or Tub), 4-piece, or 5-piece (includes a 1-person whirlpool-tub) bathroom, clock radio and television. A futon, bunk bed, cot and crib are available. A complimentary full breakfast is available. Guests also have access to picnic tables, a playground and outdoor games.
We have a smoke- and scent-free environment. Due to health issues, we are unable to accommodate any person who uses tobacco products. Sorry, but pets are not permitted.
