Overview

Welcome to the Evening Sail Bed and Breakfast – two turn-of-the-century houses, perched on the hillside and shaded by tall trees and taller gardens. We are certainly not pretentious, but we are definitely warm & welcoming.

The rooms at the Evening Sail are as individual as our guests so we’ve tried to have something for every taste and budget! Some rooms are small and cozy, some are airy and romantic, and some are perfect for families or friends travelling together. Each has a private bath (with lots of fluffy towels) and a really comfy bed, as well as wi-fi, air conditioning, cable tv, hairdryer and a mini-fridge and some even have a full kitchen and most have balconies or garden decks!

All include a full hot breakfast served with freshly ground, gourmet coffee. Whether we’re making Grand Marnier french toast with lemon sauce and fresh blueberries, savoury quiche, eggs benedict or our famous pumpkin pancakes, we know you won’t be disappointed!

We are located just a short walk to the town’s historic waterfront where you can stroll among the shops, pubs, restaurants, marinas, and museums. Here, you can explore the Hector Heritage Quay and board the full-sized Ship Hector replica, the ship that brought the Scottish settlers to these shores. Beach lovers can swim and sunbathe at Caribou or Melmerby Beaches, home to some of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas.

We are close to the PEI ferry, which makes us the perfect stopover on your way to Cape Breton from Prince Edward Island (and vice versa)!

Cancellation policy: Must cancel 48 hours prior to day of arrival.
