The Beach Lily Chalet offers everything your family needs to enjoy a complete vacation. Located at the end of a private, winding lane, your closest neighbour is the beach. The house is spacious and welcoming with a beautiful combination of vaulted ceilings, large ocean-view windows and warm wood throughout.
There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen and a spectacular great room with views of the ocean, the beach and PEI. The house sleeps eight comfortably, with a queen-size bed in each of the bedrooms and a pull-out loveseat in the great room. The great room and each of the bedrooms have ceiling fans for those warm summer nights. For the cool days of fall and winter, the main floor has in-floor heat, while the upstairs stays toasty with baseboard heaters in each room. The master bedroom features a comfortable sitting area and a large balcony with long views over the Northumberland Strait. The large deck is surrounded by beautiful lilies and fragrant rose bushes.
Other amenities include a Jacuzzi tub, grill top range, clothes washer and dryer, dish washer, board games, beach toys, high-speed Wi-Fi internet, TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs. For your outdoor enjoyment there is a screened gazebo (with power), a sunny deck, sheltered patio, large open lawn, family-size propane barbecue, a fire pit on the beach and even a propane-fired lobster or corn boiler for that big dinner. The Northumberland Strait has the warmest waters north of the Carolinas, so the swimming is excellent. The beach is beautiful and private, perfect for long walks enjoying the sunset, looking for beach glass or playing in the surf. Hummingbirds are frequent visitors to the chalet from June to August and sea and shore birds are very active throughout the summer months. In late August and September, eagles and seals are common sights from the comfort of a deck chair.
If you ever feel the need to do more than relax, the beautiful town of Pictou is only 15 minutes away; offering groceries, a variety of restaurants and cultural attractions.
