Barracks Cove Kitchenettes The Google rating is 3

South Shore, Shelburne

Overview

Barracks Cove Kitchenettes are situated in the historic town of Shelburne in the South Shore region of Nova Scotia. We are mere feet from the mouth of Shelburne Harbour, the third largest natural harbour in the world, and a short walk from Islands Provincial Park, where groomed hiking trails, boat launches, family picnic areas and a sandy beach can be found. Birders will appreciate the ease in observing shorebirds in the area and hikers and walkers will find the miles of new and old hiking trails difficult to resist.

The nearby community of Birchtown, home to one of the largest Black Loyalist settlements in North America, is only three minutes away. The school house museum, old burial ground and historic church are also fascinating places to visit. The 18-hole River Hills Golf and Country Club is just a 15 minute drive away. Be sure to walk along the historic Shelburne waterfront and visit the Dory Shop and barrel factory.

Our accommodations include three air conditioned units (Queen-sized bed, Double bed; 1- and 2-bedroom) with private 4-piece bath. Cable television and wireless Internet are available for guests. Swim in our outdoor pool, relax in the hot tub or take in the views from our sundeck. Explore the surrounding area’s walking and biking trail and fish pond, or take advantage of the barbecue or fire pit. We are a proud member of the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia. Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted.
