Back in Thyme Bed & Breakfast is a charming captain’s house, circa 1885, nestled in the heart of the Eastern Shore. Situated on three acres of property replete with apple trees and lush country gardens and surrounded by a scenic coastline, guests can enjoy swimming, bird watching, or simply admiring the magnificent sunsets before retiring our cozy room.
Relax and soak in the sun on Martinique Beach, which at six kilometres, is the longest in the province. It is also a perfect location for long walks along the water. Visit the Fisherman’s Life Museum, a fisherman’s home from the early 1900s, located next to The Salmon River House at Oyster Pond. Observe how the Loyalist settlers carved out a living in the Eastern Shore, or immerse yourself in history at Sherbrooke Village, a turn-of-the-century village with a working blacksmith at his forge as well as samples of how various structures were erected during the period. Just outside Sheet Harbour is Tangier, with multiple locations to enjoy kayaking all summer long.
Our accommodations include 1 B&B room. Full breakfast is served in the sunroom from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Guests are encouraged to enjoy satellite television, a DVD player, games galore, or sparkling conversation in the living room, or make use of the barbecue for a fresh lobster dinner on the deck overlooking the river. Babysitting and laundry services are available. No pets, please; cat on premises. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
