Anchor Inn B&B is located in Meteghan Centre, part of the “District of Clare” on the Yarmouth & Acadian Shores region of Nova Scotia. Found along the beautiful shores of St. Mary’s Bay, this area is known as the Acadian Shore.
We are located 5 km away from Smugglers Cove, said to have been used by run runners during prohibition. Other local attractions include St. Alphonse Church, with its interior murals, wooden altar and grotto and St. Mary’s Church, known as the largest wooden church in North America. We are also close to Université Saint-Anne as well as St. Bernard Church, a large granite building that is home to the Musique St-Bernard concert series. Major Point Beach, with its scenic seaside walking trails and small chapel marking the site of the first Acadian cemetery, is also nearby.
Our country home (c 1871) offers 2 rooms (two singles or one double bed) with one shared 4-piece bath. We provide a full breakfast between 7 and 8:30 am. Guests have access to the lounge with cable television, and free Internet access is available.
