The Amber Rose Inn is a beautifully restored heritage home (circa 1875) in picturesque Mahone Bay along Nova Scotia’s South Shore. The building was originally built as a general store with a private residence. In renovating the house, we kept or duplicated many of the architectural features including 100 year old doors with their original latches. Our large suites are furnished in antiques and collectibles with today’s amenities. A healthy gourmet breakfast is available each morning at 8:30 am. Enjoy reading in our dining/sitting room and on our deck, or relax in our spacious garden area with a picnic area and patio. Visit our onsite Art Gallery and Shop, which features South Shore artists and local crafts. Take a stroll to Mahone Bay’s charming main street which hosts an assortment of art galleries, specialty shops and museums. We are a 5-minute walk to public tennis courts and swimming pool. We have 3 luxury air-conditioned suites (Double and Queen), with ensuite 4-piece bath (massage tub), cable television, wireless Internet access, fridge, ceiling fan, clock radio, hair dryer, and robes. A cot is available for a fee; no crib or playpen is available. We also have a loft apartment with Queen-size murphy bed, a 3-piece bathroom (shower), a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a private entrance.
