Digby Scallop Days is a celebration that takes place annually during the second weekend of August\u00a0to celebrate our heritage in the scallop fishing industry and the culinary delight of the Digby Scallop.<\/p>\n
Our festival is celebrated over a four day period and reflects on our local scallops and the fishermen that harvest\u00a0them. Scallops from Digby, the scallop capital of the world, are known worldwide for their unique and succulent taste.<\/p>\n
We hope you will join us for some of the many events planned including many for children of all ages. Bring a lawn chair to listen to one of the many bands that will be playing, watch the kids activities, or try to shuck a scallop fresh from the water while talking to one of our scallop fishermen about life on the sea harvesting the world famous Digby\u00a0scallops.<\/p>\n
