Overview

Join Herbal Hill Farm, a working herb farm and botanical sanctuary, for an immersion in wild native plants, biodiverse farm ecosystems, and old growth Acadian forest. Engage your senses on a guided-walk and farm property tour with your naturalist host Michelle Wolf, and enjoy local made, healthy snacks and beverages throughout the experience!

Experience Includes: 

  • Enjoy a guided-walk through the diverse ecosystems at Herbal Hill Farm with your naturalist host, Michelle. Michelle Wolf holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from York University. Calling the Annapolis Valley home for more than 25-years, she loves sharing her land, gardens, ecological lifestyle, tea ceremonies, and plant knowledge with others.
  • Hear insights on sustainable harvesting of wild and plants, plant properties, and identifying tree species.
  • Savour delicious, health, and local sourced snacks and beverages throughout the experience.
  • Get hands-on to harvest plants for a guided, multi-sensory tea tasting activity.
  • Take home a small gift to remember the day. Participants are also invitation to stay after their experience for an optional campfire.

Price: Starting at $149.00 + HST and booking fees per person. Experience is suitable for participants 16+.

Good to Know:

  • The experience is approximately four hours in length and takes place from 1 pm – 5 pm. All supplies required to participate in the experience will be provided for your use.
  • If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please make sure you let us know at least 1-week in advance of your booking.
  • Participants will be outside for 2+ hours. Please bring a hat plus either sunscreen or long sleeves to protect against the sun in summer, and warm outdoor clothing in the spring and fall.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes that can get damp or muddy and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.
  • Guests are invited to bring a pen and notebook, camera, reusable water bottle, insect repellent, and binoculars if they wish, although these are optional
  • This experience is for individuals aged 16+
  • This experience is not accessible for guests with a wheelchair, walker, or significant mobility challenges – there is a fair amount of walking on uneven terrain involved in our exploration, and the guest washroom is up a small flight of stairs.
