Grab your tickets for OutFest, the largest Queer Theatre festival in Atlantic Canada! Taking place in downtown Kjipuktuk/Halifax at the Bus Stop Theatre, this six-day festival will feature emerging and established multidisciplinary Queer artists through a variety of performances!

See some of the best Queer Atlantic theatre with artists from across Atlantic Canada including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland in one of the only fully accessible performance venues in the Halifax. Enjoy performances by Two-Spirit artists as well as three staged performances and one staged reading, offered multiple times over our six day festival!

Festival Line Up:

  • Kick-off with an opening night performance featuring local Two-Spirit artists, including artist Eleanor Michael, and a screening of the short film Stories From Land Back Camp.  
  • Six performances of Skylark Song, written by McKenna James Boeckner, Can You Remember How We Got Here, written and performed by Katie Clarke. And A Beginner’s Guide To The Night Sky by Colleen MacIsaac available throughout the festival!
  • Saturday and Sunday opportunities to take in a staged reading of Deeper by Robyn Vivian.

Price: Ranging from $5 – $20 / per person + HST and Eventbrite fees. Tickets are available for individual performances as festival passes are now sold out.

Good to Know:

  • Recent renovations at the Bus Stop Theatre allow full access for everyone, as well as gender-neutral washrooms
  • OutFest will also be providing ASL for our Saturday afternoon and evening performances
  • Online ticket sales will end four-hours prior to the start of each show
