Race the Tides in this &#8218;run for your life&#8216; event\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For just a few hours, on just a few days of the year, the tides are low enough in this area of the Bay to run the ocean floor. It&#8217;s muddy, it&#8217;s rough, it&#8217;s a blast! Dig out your old shoes and come get stuck with us. If you&#8217;re up for a bit of fresh, authentic, seaside fun, then this will be one of the most memorable experiences of your life!<\/p>\n<p>Parking for all participants and spectators is available at the Five Islands\u00a0Lighthouse Park.\u00a0Buses are on-site to transport 10K\u00a0race participants to their start location.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adults and teens can choose from two courses:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a 5K which starts and finishes at Five Islands Lighthouse Park in Five Islands, Nova Scotia, running through muddy areas and out onto the exposed sea bed next to magnificent cliffs usually only seen by boat<\/li>\n<li>a 10K which starts at picturesque Soley Cove and finishes at Five Islands Lighthouse Park.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Please note:<\/strong>\u00a0due to the timing of the tides, you must be\u00a0able to complete a normal 10KM in less than 1hr 15min to participate in this race.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Youth run:\u00a0<\/strong>consists of 1-4 loops of a 500m mud course that begins and ends at Lighthouse Park, after the other races end.
