Text Links

Description

Text links are a cost effective and efficient way to generate response. They also allow multiple advertisements to run on one page with relevant retail messaging for the user. Each page can host up to three text links.

Website visitors will be able to click on the operator's text link, and a new page will open allowing visitors to access the operator's website directly.

Placement Recommendations

A call-out is being designed to house the text links. The call-out will read 'Travel Specials'. Order of text links would be awarded on a first come first serve basis. The text links would be static with 3 spots available for purchase.

Text links can be purchased on selected 2nd and 3rd level pages, a list of these is located at the end of this document. The ads will be placed in the right-hand column of the selected page.

Creative Specifications

• All Text links must include a retail call to action as this is what will motivate the highest amount of click through to your website.
• The retail call to action must include Nova Scotia based content.
• Character limits for all text links is between 80 and 100 characters (including spaces).
• Operators are asked to submit the URL of the exact location in which their text link should click through to. We highly suggest the URL drives website visitors to a page within your website which contains further information on your retail offer.
• Text links and URLs should be emailed to the attention of Laura Patrick at novascotia.com@gmail.com.

Tracking

Page views and click throughs to your website will be tracked and reported monthly.

Payment

Invoices will be issued when the advertisement is purchased. Payment by cheque should be made out to the Minister of Finance and mailed to:
