Over the past twenty years, Nova Scotia has gained fame as the home of giant pumpkins. Windsor’s Howard Dill was "the Pumpkin King" and has the distinction of being a four-time world champion pumpkin grower. You can still buy seeds for his "Atlantic Giant" variety and try to grow your own!

Pumpkin Carving Many families enjoy the fun of decorating for Halloween and pumpkins are a fun part of the celebration. Going to one of Nova Scotia's pumpkin U-picks and carving your own Jack-o-Lantern is something every member of the family can enjoy.
