The final weekend of the July showcase weekends commemorating the 225th anniversary of the Loyalist landing in Shelburne will continue to celebrate Shelburne's Loyalist history. This weekend will be geared for the entire family, combining ceremony with a contemporary component. The core of the weekend's celebrations will begin on Thursday and centre around the well-established Founders' Days, a successful annual four-day festival traditionally held every July. In addition to the perennial family favourites, the weekend will also incorporate a historic element filled with pomp and pageantry that will feature: Governor's landing on the shores of Port Roseway; renaming ceremony of Port Roseway to Shelburne; distribution of Loyalist land grants; Governor's Ball & Banquet at the Shelburne Community Centre; Parade of Lights, an evening parade in Shelburne Harbour of ships decorated with lights; a fireworks display on the historic waterfront; a Loyalist Flower Show & Tea
