Fall for the Arts

Fall for the Arts is an initiative of the Nova Scotia Arts and Culture Partnership Council, in partnership with Tourism, Culture and Heritage. Fall for the Arts promotes premier professional arts and culture performances in Nova Scotia this season.

The evenings may be starting to cool down, but the arts scene is heating up all over Nova Scotia! The first ever Fall for the Arts program brings together some of Nova Scotia’s best music and cultural Nova Scotia events and festivals in one exciting celebration. From Cape Breton Island to bustling Halifax and through Southwestern Nova Scotia, you’ll find world-class artists and entertainment offering a vibrant mixture of music, dance, story-telling, and film.

Celtic Colours International Festival unites glorious autumn foliage with a variety of Celtic fiddles, pipes, dance and storytelling in locations all around Cape Breton. Celtic traditions are a key part of DRUM!, a dazzling theatrical and musical performance that tells the history of Nova Scotia’s Aboriginal Mi’kmaq, Black, Celtic  and Acadian culture.

The 28th annual Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia is a unique opportunity to watch some of the best international, Canadian and Atlantic Canadian films. Halifax is also home to one of Canada’s most exciting indie pop scenes. Check out the program for this year’s Halifax Pop Explosion.

Be sure to check back for updates and more Nova Scotia events and festivals this fall.
