Rte 12: Hwy 103, Exit 9, or Hwy 101, Exit 13. Step back in time to 1816 when Captain William Ross and his wife Mary settled in inland Nova Scotia. Visit their former home, a cottage built in 1817, along with two barns, a village school, stave mill, and 1830s vintage store. Costumed interpreters bring to life this 23-hectare (60-acre) 1800s settlement. Animals from heritage breeds; heirloom gardens; demonstrations of barrelmaking, blacksmithing, spinning, and cooking.
